The Essence of Prayer - 1

Ephesians 6:18- We are to pray at all times.

It is common knowledge that prayer is a way of communicating our thoughts, needs and desires to God. God made this as a channel of communication so that we can express the deepest feelings of our hearts to Him.

Prayer is the exercise of our human spirit. It is our fellowship with God through the Spirit.

When we pray, our spirits are refreshed and heightened. We experience spiritual ecstacy at the place of prayer.

Prayer is NOT all about making requests (Even though Prayer of Request is a type of prayer, there are other types), there is a higher purpose of prayer which is Fellowship with God.

Hebrews 11:6-8

Faith is vital in prayer. God hears us and answers us when we pray the right way by faith. No one can please God without faith.

Prayer is the expression of our faith in God.

We MUST believe that God's exists and He is the rewarder of all who diligently seek Him.

Remember this:

- God is MORE willing to answer our prayers than we are more willing to pray.

This is because He yearns for a time of fellowship with Him.

- The consistent prayer by faith changes situations.

We are to pray and NOT to faint.
